Marissa’s professional experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting.
Marissa utilizes an eclectic approach to addressing mental health difficulties with a central focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also focuses on how our self-esteem/self-confidence/self-worth impacts overall mental health, core beliefs, decision-making, and actions. This all takes time and getting to know you and the ways you think about and react to the world around you. A person-centered approach is also integral to her therapy work and she prioritizes support and guidance as you work through whatever areas you identify as being important to you. She also finds that validation, warmth, and a gentle sense of humor can go a long way to working on mental health challenges. She looks forward to working with you on your mental health journey.
