Elmira is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has an extensive academic background in Social Work from the University of South Florida in which she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Elmira has experience working with a variety of patient needs in a diverse array of settings. She began her career working with an incarcerated population and then her professional career shifted to Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facility settings where she provides support therapy for the elderly.
Working many years with older adults, she is able to understand problems they encounter as they continue to age. They have unique needs which she is able to address. Elmira can provide clinical intervention on-site and helps older adults adjust to a new life style and life changing events; such as losing independence, transitioning from home to ALF, reduced health, and grief & loss. Elmira works closely with the families as well as assisting them to understand the process of aging and problems associated with it.
